Descubre nuevas rutas con “Join the Repopulation” y saca el mayor partido a Strava

Leveraging our "Join the Repopulation" initiative to help areas at risk of depopulation, we show you how to get more out of Strava to explore and find unknown paradises.

"Join the Repopulation"

"Join the repopulation" is Gobik's initiative to help repopulate abandoned villages around Europe. Cycling is a great tool within everyone's reach to get to know incredible places, so let's not settle into our usual routes and let's go out and see the world with our bikes!

In this link you will find the best routes proposed by Gobik in the most unknown places. Join our initiative and help us to repopulate the areas in danger of abandonment.

Search for popular routes and create a route from another one.

You can easily find the most popular routes in a specific area:

  • In "Menu - maps", select the type of activity you want to do.
  • Strava will recommend you the best options in the radius of Km you select in the area.
  • Once you have selected the route, to modify it, select "create a copy".
  • In the created copy, modify the route according to your preferences.

Adapt the routes to your preferences.

You can filter routes according to terrain, elevation gain or known routes:

  • Under "create route", select the preferred terrain type. Strava will adapt the route to the trails with the selected feature.
  • You can also select "go by known roads", in this case, the application will draw you the most frequented roads in the area.
  • Finally, you can select "go on the flattest route" to avoid the steepest roads.
Composition of different types of road on the route.

Types of roads:

Strava differentiates you the paths according to the type of surface: asphalt, dirt, trail or unknown terrain.

  • The solid line means that the trail runs on asphalt surface.
  • The dotted line means that we are on a dirt track.
  • White line: Unknown trail or road.

To venture into an unknown place, we recommend you always avoid the white lines, as they may be very technical terrain or not cyclable at all.

P.S.: In the GOBIK Club we are already more than 9,000 enthusiasts, let's pedal together!
