In the race for the success of the UAE Team Emirates, in competition images, there is one element common to almost all the snapshots: the Absolute WT cycling shorts. This basic garment was the basis for much of the competition in a historic year for the team and for Gobik.

Absolute WT cycling shorts: The secret is in the chamois
For Davide Formoloone of the main contributors to the team's success in the Tour de France with Pogačar, the chamois of the Absolute WT "is an extra in competitions as tough as ours" and he is not wrong, because in it we find one of the critical points between the rider and the bike.
The cycling shorts are very good," continues Davide Formolo. When you spend a lot of time on the bike, every detail counts and makes a difference, especially at those points where the body comes into contact with the bike, such as the pedal, handlebars and, of course, the saddle".
The chamois of the Absolute WT bib shorts is the K10a piece designed for the male anatomy, with 8-hour performance guaranteed, thanks to its thickness of 11 mm and double density. It is apparently flat and pleasant to the touch, but its composition prioritizes breathability and air permeability. Its central channel avoids numbness in the central part of the cyclist by favoring blood flow. All made with sustainable materials.

A bib shorts tailored to the rider
"It has an extra long cut due to the elasticity of the fabric it is made of. This allows you to adjust the length of the bib shorts a little more than normal without it moving on the bike. The lightness of these bib shorts is due to the weight of the main fabric, which is very light," continues Ángel Lencina from Gobik.
For Formolo "the design is neat and feels good. I find it very light and at the same time durable, something that is not the case with many bib shorts. For his part, Rui Costa recalls that "I've been in the peloton for many years and I've seen firsthand the evolution that has taken place in cycling. When I compare these bib shorts with the ones I started with, there is a world of difference. The improvements that have been made over the years are unbelievable.”.
Regarding the future of this piece, Ángel Lencina anticipates that "given the great acceptance by UAE Emirates, who are the only ones who have enjoyed this model, in principle it will not have any significant variation. The model will remain the same for at least one more season".
