The Gobik range of accessories and complements for the cyclist is dressed for the coming winter. The collection grows and improves, the result of a circular work that is reflected in the catalog: everything is tested, everything is tested, each reference that comes to market is supported by the feedback of the sales team, of the groups that work with our customization service. Custom Works and professional teams in the most extreme conditions.
Julián Ferrero, from Gobik's product development team and responsible for complements and accessories, tells us: "Nothing that appears there is random, everything arises from a need expressed by the cyclist.
Gobik's portfolio is extensive, but we take a look at the four most popular families, starting with gloves, one of the most sought-after items in winter.
Gloves
If we go from more to less temperature we have:
- Finder : the first long model of the autumn-winter collection, with a light plush fabric and an excellent grip, thanks to its silicone palm. It is suitable for autumn or spring, with temperatures from 8 to 18 ºC.
- Bora : a more technical garment, as Julian explains: with the advanced Polartec® NeoShell® membrane and a plush and warm interior. On the palm we incorporated microfiber for a better fit to the handlebars. For temperatures from 5 to 15 ºC.
- Nuuk : designed specifically to cope with low temperatures. They are windproof and rain resistant, in addition, they have thermal insulation. Primaloft® Gold. For 0 - 10 ºC.
- Zero : high thermal protection against low or very low temperatures, without compromising control over the bike. Windproof, rain resistant and with thermal insulation. Primaloft® Gold thicker. For -5 to 5 ºC.
- Tundra : for adverse conditions of rain and humidity. 100% neoprene, 3 millimeters thick and very technical. We recommend its use in conditions of persistent rain and temperatures from 5 to 15 ºC, completes Julian.
For neck and head
In the series of elements to protect the neck and head during winter outings, the following stand out:
- Tubular : bandana made of a single piece of polyester with the possibility of sublimation that stands out for its versatility. It can cover neck and also ears in a context of 5 to 10 ºC.
- Moonbah : bandana For more warmth, with merino wool and protection in colder temperatures, from 0 ºC.
- Frontline : merino wool for added protection. It has no seams and is somewhat asymmetrical to improve its effectiveness, being wider at the back for ear protection.
- Brigade : under helmet hat with advanced thermal protection, including Polartec® NeoShell® membrane and a very elastic fleece fabric. Compatible with any cycling helmet.
Socks and shoe covers
Feet play an important role in the winter season. To face these days Gobik has models of socks specifically designed for low temperatures:
- Winter Merino : they are medium weight and use merino wool in their composition, which allows the skin to breathe and is insulated from moisture. For temperatures ranging from 0 to 12 ºC.
- Deep Winter Merino : with bioceramic fabric and merino wool, they retain heat better thanks to a thicker terry. For -4 to 10 ºC.
- Kamik : shoe cover for road rides. It has a plush interior and a windproof and water-repellent coating.
- Avert : designed to protect your feet from the cold and rain while mountain biking or gravel riding. Additional reinforcements with vulcanized rubber and Kevlar allow for easy walking on technical terrain.
- Velotoze : made of 100% silicone and exclusively designed for road rides in the rain.
- Defender : very easy to put on, perfect for road rides, with neoprene finish and very light.
Undershirts
The famous base layer, which will help us to expel sweat to upper layers and keep our skin drier. We review the range from higher to lower temperature:
- Cell Skin : for mild temperatures in fall and winter. Made with Polartec® Delta™, a true revolution in breathability and temperature regulation. Sleeveless and short sleeve versions.
- Limber Skin : with a second-skin fit that keeps body temperature stable and wicks moisture quickly to the outside. Sleeveless and short-sleeved versions. Temperature from 10 to 20 ºC.
- Winter Merino : insulating merino wool, a fiber highly appreciated for high performance outdoor activities due to its properties: it is insulating, thermo-regulating, antibacterial, non-irritating and has a very high weight/heat ratio.
