At Gobik, we have always understood winter as just another scenario, not as a barrier. A territory where the cyclist discovers a different version of themselves, where clarity comes through the cold, and where equipment becomes an essential ally. In this context, Superarmour is born, a jacket designed not by trend or catalog, but by real need on the road.
This is an in-depth look at the most ambitious garment in our winter range.
Born from real winter
Superarmour doesn't arise to fill a gap: it arises because the road demanded it. Years of rides in sub-zero temperatures, frozen dawns, and long training sessions in the middle of winter led us to a key question:
How can we guarantee full protection without creating total isolation?
The answer led us to combine the best of two worlds:
- eVent DVstorm as the outer layer
- Polartec Alpha as the inner insulation
Two technologies that work together with a common goal: to keep the body stable, dry, and protected without sacrificing freedom of movement.

Protection and regulation: two functions, one jacket
The eVent DVstorm membrane acts as a shield. It creates a complete barrier against wind and rain, keeping the thermal sensation stable even when conditions worsen.
On the inside, Polartec Alpha does the opposite: instead of trapping heat, it regulates it. It allows moisture to escape continuously and prevents temperature spikes that usually appear with heavier insulations.
The combination offers protection that is not heavy, not stifling, not restrictive. Protection that adapts to your pace, not the other way around.
Details that matter where they matter most
When we talk about winter, we know where the cyclist's vulnerability lies. Superarmour addresses each of these points with millimetric precision:
- Double high collar, soft yet airtight.
- Adjustable cuffs to seal the connection with gloves.
- Magnetic flap that covers the zipper and prevents cold spots.
These aren't decorations. They are solutions designed to maintain temperature even when the weather changes abruptly.

Lightweight, surprisingly lightweight
Most jackets designed for extreme conditions are synonymous with bulk. The Superarmour jacket breaks that rule.
Thanks to Polartec Alpha, the garment breathes at all times, even during intense efforts. Heat remains stable, moisture disappears, and the jacket moves with you. This was what most surprised the WorldTour cyclists who tested the first prototypes: the protection was obvious; the balance, unexpected.

Made for the kind of cold that truly matters
Superarmour is designed for temperatures between –8°C and +7°C, right in that territory where cold stops being a sensation and becomes a presence. Where the wind sets the conditions. Where rain turns to ice. It is at this point where many cyclists hesitate. We wanted to create a jacket that would encourage them to keep moving forward.
The essence of Gobik, taken to the limit
The development of Superarmour required going back to what defines us as a brand:
- Innovation with purpose
- Simple design in appearance, complex in function
- Real testing with real cyclists
- Total confidence in the final product
From the first prototypes, through tests with the INEOS Grenadiers, to the frosty mornings of testing on our roads, every detail was refined until the jacket met our highest standard.
Superarmour is made for those who don't give winter the power to decide. For those who keep training when the cold bites.
