Making of: this is how the new Glitch Mode collection is born

Making of : así nace la nueva colección Glitch Mode

Behind every Gobik collection, there is much more than design. Before a garment hits the road, designers, pattern makers, and material specialists work together to transform an idea into a technical garment ready to ride. Today, we want to take you behind the scenes to reveal how Glitch Mode is born, the first drop of our summer 2026 collection.

The origin: from idea to visual concept

Everything starts with an idea and a concept that serves as the common thread for the collection. On this occasion, the team was inspired by the digital universe and the bitmap aesthetic, where images are built from small blocks of color. This fragmentation becomes a metaphor for movement, something that connects very well with the energy and rhythm of cycling.

From that idea, the creative team begins to experiment with patterns, compositions, and visual structures that can be transferred to the fabric and work in motion. But the creative process is not always so orderly, so in our workshop there is constant dialogue between teams. It is that balance between intuition, trial, and refinement that gives soul to the collection.

Design in motion and color strategy

Once the visual identity is defined, we move on to applied graphic development. We do not design thinking of a flat garment, but of a cyclist in full action. The lines and blocks of color are strategically distributed to generate dynamism on the bike, ensuring that the aesthetics and the rider's figure merge into a single piece in motion.

The choice of the color palette has been key for the launch of this collection. We have opted for a combination of green and vibrant tones that connect with the arrival of spring. These are colors that exude vitality and reinforce that idea of constant transformation, dynamism, and movement that we sought with the Glitch concept.

The technique that brings the design to life

But beauty is nothing without performance. This is where Gobik's technical perfectionism comes into play. Once the visual universe is defined, designers, pattern makers, and material specialists work together to integrate the design into existing silhouettes or new developments.

But the process does not stay in the studio. Part of the development team experiences cycling with the same intensity as our customers: they train regularly and compete with demanding calendars. That experience becomes a key tool during the development process. Each garment is tested on the road and adjusted based on real sensations: how the fabric breathes under effort, how the fit behaves over long hours of pedaling, or how the materials respond when the pace increases.

The goal is for the visual concept to coexist with the technical demands of cycling. Each graphic pattern is carefully adapted to the different pieces of the garment to maintain aesthetic coherence without compromising performance.

The result of this entire process is what finally reaches the road: garments that combine visual identity, technical development, and a clear creative intention.

Glitch Mode opens the summer with a proposal that brings digital language to cycling, demonstrating that aesthetic innovation and performance can coexist on every ride.
