Our visit to We Ride Flanders

The Tour of Flanders is, without a doubt, one of the best known cycling classics at both professional and amateur level.

With the cyclotourist race on Saturday and the professional race on Sunday, you can imagine the great bustle of cycling enthusiasts that gather in Oudenaarde, in the Belgian region of East Flanders.

Fans cheering at Saturday's race

The race is popularly known for its pavé walls in a fairly flat region, it is impressive to find yourself in front of these walls with an incline that can reach up to 20% and the extra difficulty provided by the cobblestones, especially as the 16,000 fans of the We Ride Flanders suffered them in the wet. Short but very intense climbs that the riders of the popular race climbed, mostly on foot on Saturday, while the few who managed to overcome walls like the Koppenberg without setting foot on the ground, were cheered by the rest of the cyclists as if it were the same MDVP.

At the end of the challenge, the cyclists went to collect their finisher's medal at the Gobik stand where they could win a jersey a goal of the Movistar Team signed by Ivan Cortina and the INEOS Grenadiers signed by Egan Bernal, as well as a gift to cheer him on in the professional race.

On Sunday, Oude Kwaremont, the most famous wall of the race, was the best place to watch and cheer on the cyclists, as they passed three times and it was a real cycling party with more than 50,000 fans.
