This increase in women's references comes thanks to working hand in hand with women's World Tour teams. Thus, "we have managed to develop a wide range of cycling garments for women, tested and validated by professional cyclists", says Ángel.
"This increase is 25% more than a year ago for women's cycling," continues Inma, drawing a scenario conditioned, as it could not be otherwise, by "the demand of the market and our customers. We are seeing a considerable increase in the number of female cyclists in recent times, especially in the last two years," concludes Ángel.
As we have said, the result of this commitment is preceded by "an intense work with the riders of the FDJ-Suez-Futuroscope team, with adjustments and adaptations of the clothing to the cyclist's body. Their feedback is valuable and positive in the patterning of the clothing in general, but also in details such as zippers, straps and adjustments," says Inma.
Jackets, jerseys and vests
Going into more detail, Angel specifies that "both the jackets and vests jerseys and jackets are adjusted to the feminine silhouette: waistline, chest, hip and shoulder adjustment, zipper and sleeve lengths also change". The length of the zipper and sleeves also changes".
The collection incorporates novelties and details that speak of the quality of the work with the French team's cyclists.
For example, the performance of the clothing on long rides has been improved with details that arise from the competition itself: "The tops incorporate small pockets for the rider's radio, a feedback we received from the beginning. Shorts, tops and bras
"In culottes, the pattern of the interiors is changed to adapt it to the female anatomy, achieving greater comfort. For the same reason, we modify the geometry of the chamois and, in some cases, the shape of the shoulder strap, crossing it and unifying the piece at the front, says Ángel.
In terms of specific materials, Inma points out that both "the chamois and the front of the crotch, unlike the men's versions, are resolved in one piece, to better adapt to women".
