Vuelta a Burgos diary: The perfect end to a race of 10

The Vuelta a Burgos 2020 has concluded and can be considered a success story. In the most changing context of recent and not so recent history, with thousands of eyes on its fate, the race has managed to give a great example of good work embodied in the great organization of an edition that will be historic for many reasons.

The first for the aforementioned context, the second for the number of people and very good people who wanted to come to race and the third and last for having a winner that goes beyond the limits of cycling, as Remco Evenepoel is followed wherever he goes with his twenty years and increasingly bulging palmares.

In this story Gobik The balance is simple, in sporting terms we have already seen it, we are facing the future of cycling, in all likelihood - says Gino Dona, Brand Manager of Gobik-. When you win several things at this age, it's no longer a coincidence".

For us it's a step towards a return to normality and competition, something we love and which fills us with joy," says José Ramón Otín, CEO of Gobik-And that it happens at this time, better than ever, because the Vuelta a Burgos 2020 has been an incredible focus of attention in which we have felt very comfortable".

"It's another step forward and that's how we feel," he adds.

The Vuelta a Burgos 2020 finished on its classic stage of Las Lagunas de Neila, in a mano a mano between the final winner, Remco Evenepoel, and Mikel Landa, very active from the very beginning of the final climb. However, the victory went to the one who wore the number one, Iván Ramiro Sosa, today he was in front with the best.

Everything happened after "a stage that anyone who likes cycling would love, a very nice route, although perhaps not at the pace that these riders are going. The Neila climb was really hard and the level is strong, I'm sure some will say that they have been strange circumstances, but they are for everyone" describes Gino.

And he adds: "The organization is 10, very attentive people who really like what they do. In the midst of a strange circumstance, they have managed to pull off the race with flying colors. For Gobik is a bit more of the same, as in all the races in which we take part, we give everything, whatever the modality and whatever the level. In the end, it's about being in all the cycling segments we want to be in and doing our bit for a world we love, which is cycling".
