INSIDE GOBIK | Juanmi Muñoz

If we had to describe Juanmi in one word, it would perhaps be "versatility." Although this 43-year-old from Yecla considers himself a "kid," his life is full of experiences and interests ranging from sport to science, and our protagonist not only studied Chemistry, but also worked as a chemist for a while. However, his innate curiosity and pragmatic character have led him to explore new challenges, as he tells us: "I have always liked learning things that I can then apply." Perhaps that attitude is what has led him to become a key part of Gobik's evolution, where he is currently Executive Assistant.

From the bike to the office

Juanmi's story with the bike is not that of an enthusiast who was already on it before he could walk... in fact, he started cycling late, at 31, already married and about to become a father. That passion led him to meet José Ramón (CEO and co-founder of Gobik) and join a small company that at the time had barely five people. "It was a leap into the void for both sides," he comments with a smile. His initial mission was clear: to help set up Gobik's first factory, a task he took on without much previous experience in engineering, sales or human resources.

Over time, his role evolved from "jack-of-all-trades" to Executive Assistant, taking responsibility for coordinating all the company's departments. "At the beginning, the days were marathons, but little by little we grew and delegated responsibilities." Today, his focus is on planning and on making Gobik a scalable company, ready for continuous growth.

Daily challenges and applied science

Juanmi defines his work as a mix of intuition, data analysis and a touch of "applied science." From forecasting product demand to planning resources, his goal is to ensure Gobik is always one step ahead. "I don't have a crystal ball, but I try to read the future through mathematical tools and a bit of intuition," he tells us, a combination that has led him to become a "CX Pro" within the company: versatile, fast and efficient, capable of adapting to any situation.

Beyond work

Outside Gobik, Juanmi finds his escape in cycling, running and reading. With a personal goal of reading between 20 and 25 books a year, he is constantly looking to learn new things that he can apply both in his personal and professional life. "Cycling clears my mind, helps me think and keeps me fit," he states.

Tour, Giro or Vuelta? The Tour de France, because of the memories with my grandmother.
