The new Gobik pro gear colors for 2024

Year after year, Gobik is the technical partner of professional teams of all disciplines, both road in the World Tour and Mountain Bike, which makes the brand to be in constant evolution, counting on the feedback of the most demanding riders.

Dressing professional teams is not only about creating designs and patterns for each of them, for Gobik it means much more; a support to the team and riders throughout the season, attending to all the needs they require, often with little reaction time, for which it is essential that all departments are aligned, working together to meet all the needs and provide excellent service.

The process from the inside

Jose Manuel, from the design department, tells us how they have experienced it.

"In this new stage we have experimented a bit with teamwork, I reviewed the briefing with Alberto (Co-Founder of Gobik) and Angel (Product Development), who play the role of final corrector, chose 2 or 3 of all the designers and, from there, we started to work.

Each designer works on the design on their own, so as not to contaminate each other creatively, from there comes a first round of more open designs, and one or more are chosen as the path to follow. Once it is clear where to go, they all start working on the same designs preparing possible variations.

Once the variations have been proposed, they are presented to Alberto and Ángel, who give us the go-ahead or ask us to start again.

At this point, we do some color tests to see that what is shown on the screen is feasible to take to production and, once these versions are polished, we prepare the presentation and we meet with the team.

After the presentations, there are the final details to be worked out by the team until we reach the final design."

We asked the design team as well as the team relationship manager to tell us a little about their relationship with each other and the inspiration behind each design.

INEOS Grenadiers

For the team INEOS Grenadiers we tried to mix English elegance with a very powerful design that would be very recognizable within the peloton. The idea was to accentuate the colors they had been using without losing the elegance that characterizes a team of their stature.

Movistar Team

In the team Movistar Team we have tried to work more focused on the telephone brand, to be able to transmit innovation and technological advances, taking advantage of them to create a jersey with a lot of energy and light.

FDJ-Suez

With the FDJ-Suez team the process was quite a challenge, as we had to reinvent a design that captivated them last year and it would be difficult to beat it. We decided to superimpose geometric shapes, giving it a very different look at short distances and one that would not clash when viewed from a distance.

BH Coloma

Together since the beginning of their history, BH-Coloma and Gobik face a MTB campaign with very powerful new features in the team managed by Olympic medalist Carlos Coloma and captained by David Valero, who will once again wear the design of the Spanish champion. As for the design of the kit, working with Coloma side by side is a challenge, they are very demanding in terms of the design we had to propose, we got them to dare to make a change and abandon the sobriety of the black of the previous year. We made it gain a lot of contrast in the chest part, at the end it is the most visible when you go on the bike. The pattern had to remind us of the grit and effort they put in every day.

Wilier-Vittoria

With the team Wilier we had a challenge, which was to do something different but without losing strength. We started by modifying the base color and, from then on, everything went quite smoothly. The design has gained a lot of strength and, in addition, I think we have managed to give them their own recognizable style.

A very similar case to the one we experienced with FDJ, we have reinvented the shapes of last year's design, giving them a new twist without losing the harmony with the previous line. We have also given them a different air by applying a bib in blue, in this way we bring variety within the MTB designs.

Lapierre Mavic Unity

With a striking kit in terracotta tones inspired by the red planet, Mars, this professional team continues a story that began more than 25 years ago. All this time has been enough to establish a fixed squad in the big mountain bike events. A design full of energy that starts a new season on the most demanding stages of the Mountain Bike World Cup.

Santa Cruz Rockshox

The Milan-based team, the Santa Cruz Rockshox, faces 2024 with every intention of achieving an unrepeatable year with presence in more than 110 competitions. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful kits on the circuit. It has been one of the most extensive projects, we started betting on a design that was far away from what they used to wear every season, finally we were guided towards a more striking model, which would stand out within the disciplines where they usually compete.

PMG

Always with Gobik, the Murcian team continues to be a fixture for the brand. Ahead, a calendar in which the World Cup, which starts in May, will be the most desired with a jump, even to the United States and Canada. As for the design of their kit, they are an example of sobriety and elegance, it is easy to work with them as they usually give quite clear guidelines of what they are looking for, the clothing stands out for its elegance and details.
