Casa Gobik in Barcelona: An unforgettable Grand Départ

Casa Gobik en Barcelona: Una Grand Départ inolvidable

The Tour de France is already rolling at full speed, but the emotional hangover at home will still take time to fade. Experiencing the Grand Départ from Barcelona has been, quite simply, a dream come true. Enjoying an event of this global magnitude so close at hand, feeling the roar of the crowd on Passeig de Gràcia, and breathing in the pure adrenaline of the professional teams and the fans has been an experience we will always remember.

On the road, the spectacle did not disappoint. The teams kept us on the edge of our seats, riding with impeccable strength, filtering into the key moves of the race and showing that they came to this Tour to give it everything. A huge injection of pride for all of us to see our garments performing under maximum pressure with the teams of INEOS Grenadiers and Movistar Team.

The meeting point of the community

For one magical week, Casa Gobik became our temporary home in Barcelona; an open space where cyclists, media, partners, friends and fans came together to experience the brand beyond the product. Four permanent activations set the daily pace: the first European landing of ST. ALI Coffee Roasters specialty coffee, the addictive reflex challenge at the BOX55 corner, the new collection created with Carlos Sainz, the "From Yecla to Barcelona" exhibition, a visual and artisanal journey through our roots and design processes, and the corner dedicated to our new experimental line at Gobik: The One Off.

In addition, Casa Gobik hosted key internal moments, serving as a strategic meeting point for Gobik's commercial and sales teams. A golden opportunity to meet in person, take an in-depth look at the year so far and, above all, recharge and draw up the strategic lines for everything still to come. The drive to improve never rests.

From aerodynamics to asphalt: Wednesday and Thursday of pure innovation

We kicked off Wednesday with Velodrom on a social ride through the streets of Barcelona and the first coffee cupping workshop with ST. ALI. The crowning moment of the opening day came from Scott Drawer, Performance Director of the INEOS Grenadiers, with a masterclass alongside Charlie Lewis Follows —Gobik ambassador—, on the importance of aerodynamics in modern cycling, which also served as the exclusive pre-launch of our new Supersonica collection.

On Thursday we dressed for the occasion to look toward the future. In a private runway show exclusively for attendees and close friends of the brand —with a very special guest among the audience: Alberto Contador—, we unveiled for the first time the innovations that will shape the WARM 2027 collection. As night fell, the space was transformed to celebrate The One Off Night, a party to pay tribute to our most premium and creative project to date.

Weekend of passion: creativity, Rouleur and the roar of the fans

On Friday we opened Casa Custom, an interactive activation where fans could unleash their creativity by customizing tote bags and flags with Tour-inspired motifs, creating the perfect souvenir for what was to come.
On Saturday, the day of the long-awaited Tour start, the adrenaline surged. In collaboration with Rouleur, we experienced the live recording of their podcast with FDJ-SUEZ cyclist Ally Wollaston, discovering the most human side of one of the great promises of the women’s peloton.

Later, we moved to the Gobik Cheering Point right on Passeig de Gràcia. There we gave our all cheering on the cyclists in the opening stage, before returning to the Casa to watch the finish on a big screen and end the day as it deserved: an authentic Afterparty with pizzas, drinks, and friends.

The grand finale with Curv®

On Sunday, we brought an unforgettable week to a close by once again combining ST. ALI coffee with running shoes. Together with Curv®, we organized a social run to Montjuïc, where the Tour’s second stage ended with a nail-biting finish that we will take years to forget.

We closed the doors of the first Casa Gobik in Barcelona with an immense sense of gratitude. It has been a week filled with inspiring conversations, shared kilometers, coffees, hugs, and, above all, passion for cycling.
We can only thank all of you who made it possible —those who rode, ran, cheered from the barriers, or simply stopped by to say hello—. The Grand Départ has been a historic celebration, and we are proud to have written it by your side.
See you on the next adventure!
