Nové Město 2026: community, identity and competition on the Czech circuit

Nové Město 2026: comunidad, identidad y competición en el circuito checo

The Nové Město na Moravě circuit has once again confirmed why it is one of the must-visit stops on the international XCO calendar. With a massive attendance of more than 40,000 fans throughout the weekend, they turned Nové Město into the perfect stage for a new round of the WHOOP UCI MTB World Series. This event has been a unique opportunity to strengthen our presence at the heart of mountain biking, linking our textile technology with the energy of one of the most demanding events on the planet.

Commitment to top-level competition

As an official partner of the XCO World Series, this alliance not only gives us global visibility, but also allows us to test and validate our products in the harshest conditions on the circuit. In this way, we strengthen ties with the teams, the organizers, and the technical evolution of the discipline itself through an active commitment to MTB culture that extends from our garments to the community experience itself.

The voice of the fans: "Best XC Rider of the Round"

This season, we decided to go one step further by creating the "Best XC Rider of the Round" initiative to give the spotlight directly to the fans, who through the UCI voting platform will be able to choose the most outstanding rider in each competition, evaluating attitude and the spectacle delivered. On this occasion, the community overwhelmingly backed Chilean rider Martín Vidaurre Kossmann — after his solid fourth-place finish in Sunday’s race — and Dutch rider Puck Pieterse, recognizing their fighting spirit on the Czech course.

On the racing side, the weekend brought us great moments on the track. Friday’s Short Track (XCC) delivered a display of pace with victories for French rider Mathis Azzaro and Puck Pieterse herself, while Sunday’s main XCO races crowned Tom Pidcock in the men’s category, equaling the circuit’s all-time record, and Laura Stigger in the women’s after an impeccable race.

Speed Tattoo Party in the paddock

We brought that same intensity of competition directly into the paddock, where our space became the main meeting point of the weekend. We designed a temporary tattoo corner inspired by the aesthetics of competition, a concept that caused a sensation among attendees. A constant flow of fans, families, and team mechanics came by our stand to stamp these designs onto their skin and cheer on the riders, transforming the space into one of the crowd’s favorite spots. Hands, arms, legs, shoulders, and even faces — no one wanted to miss out on their Gobik tattoo!

Driven by these digital initiatives and the massive response to our on-site proposals, we closed out our time in Nové Město by strengthening our connection with performance cycling and, above all, with the fan community that brings this sport to life.
