Gobik changes the jersey for pajamas to fight against childhood cancer

Gobik cambia el maillot por el pijama para luchar contra el cáncer infantil

Childhood cancer is one of the cruelest diseases that exist today in society, and that does not go unnoticed for Gobik. For this reason, and demonstrating one of the values that the brand breathes, solidarity, the whole company wanted to join an action that has not only served to raise funds for research, which is what really saves lives, but also to continue to raise awareness of this problem among the population.

The headline of changing the jersey for pajamas is not a metaphor, it is reality, and on February 15, Children's Cancer Day, Gobik carried out an action in collaboration with the association AFACMUR, which works in the oncology ward of the Hospital de Murcia, doing a work as commendable as necessary for all children who are in it, as well as for their families.

The "pajama challenge" consisted, literally, in taking off their work clothes and putting on their pajamas, so that on that day, February 15, all Gobik employees would go to work in their pajamas. For each worker who joined this initiative, the company would donate 20€ to the AFACMUR association. During the day, not only all the company's employees took part in the challenge, but each and every one of the company's visitors also took part in the challenge, resulting in a donation of 16,720 euros, 16,720 euros between the contribution of each worker who joined the initiative, masks in the form of donation, a jersey for their raffle y the extra amount contributed by the company's employees on their own initiative. The company's employees, showing even more solidarity and involvement in a fight so necessary to put an end to this disease that is taking the lives of so many children today.

The pride of being part of a company, a family, that breathes these values is even greater than any other business achievement, as it indicates the human quality that moves the Gobik family every day. Therefore, we give our eternal thanks to each and every one of the people who have been part, on a voluntary basis, of this challenge, helping so many children in their daily lives.
