If Girona is the heart of European cycling, then Velodrom Odeon is its freshest and most vibrant beat. What was once a forgotten theater in the old town has been reborn as a modern sanctuary for cyclists. A space where history and passion meet design, culture and community. And at the center of it all, Gobik. Not as a newcomer, but as a brand with deep roots in this journey.
Gobik has been part of the Velodrom story from the beginning. From those early days as a small boutique bike store in Barcelona to what is today, without a doubt, one of the most spectacular cycling spaces in the world. Gobik believed in Velodrom when it was still growing and finding its voice.
Today, that collaboration becomes even more visible. Inside Velodrom Odeon, Gobik has a dedicated space. A corner where cyclists from all over the world can experience our garments in person, right in the heart of one of cycling's most iconic destinations.
But this past Saturday was about much more than presence. It was about bringing everyone together. Gobik and Velodrom organized a special event that brought together local cyclists, friends of the brand and a very special guest: Alejandro Valverde.

Rain, sun and a legend
The day started with heavy rain. One of those mornings when you wonder if it's worth going out to ride. But when Alejandro Valverde arrived at Odeon with a calm smile and put on his pedals, everything changed. You don't cancel a ride when a world champion leads the way.
About 50 cyclists gathered. Among them, members of the Gobik Factory Team, local cyclists and supporters of Bala himself. They all gathered at the entrance of the Odeon with their raincoats zipped up and an undeniable energy, ready to enjoy the day no matter what the weather.
The route crossed some of Girona's most beloved roads. The first few kilometers were wet. Faces splattered with mud and rain, but the group didn't stop. And then, as if it was planned, the sun broke through the clouds. The roads dried, the jackets disappeared, and the smiles returned. The route ended as the best ones do: with a sense of shared accomplishment, all alongside one of cycling's living legends.

To close the day, attendees enjoyed an exclusive live podcast with Valverde.
Riding together in the rain, sharing a table and listening to stories from a legend, we didn't just leave our mark. We celebrated a connection that is already part of the fabric of Girona.
And now, with a permanent space inside Velodrom Odeon, that connection will only grow.
