Inside Gobik Band - Evelin Farel

At Gobik, people are the real driving force: their dedication and precision are reflected in every garment. Today we focus on Evelin Farel, a key member of the team who, with care and a calm presence, ensures that each design is brought to life with authenticity and perfection.

Evelin’s journey at Gobik began about five and a half years ago. It wasn’t the brand itself that attracted her, but rather the recommendation about the good working environment and strong sense of community. “I didn’t know much, just that it had been recommended to me as a company where people worked very well and the atmosphere was very good,” she says. She soon found out that the reputation was more than deserved.

Growth and leadership

Her path within the company is a perfect example of growth and dedication. She started as an operator in the production plant, absorbing knowledge and learning with humility and patience all the details of the calender process. This commitment eventually led her to take on a leadership role. “I started as just another worker in the factory,” she explains, “and I have acquired a lot of knowledge in the area where I am, which is the calender, until I became the section manager.” Her daily work now consists of organizing the workload, ensuring urgent orders go out on time, and above all, being a guide and support for her colleagues.

The magic of the calender.

The calender, as she describes it, is a complex machine that operates at a scorching 200 degrees. It’s where the magic of design transfer happens. “We have to place the right fabric on the right image,” she says. “It goes through the machine and transfers the design the customer wanted onto the fabric.” For Evelin, the biggest professional challenge isn’t the machine, but managing the people who operate it. She compares her team to a family, highlighting the importance of understanding and communicating with each individual. “I think the most important thing is working with people,” she states, noting that technical problems are solved quickly, but human dynamics require more care and attention.

Balance and serenity

Although her work is deeply connected to the world of cycling textiles, Evelin’s personal interests go in another direction. You won’t find her on a bike; she feels more comfortable in the calm of her mind and nature. She enjoys reading personal development books, meditating, and walking in the mountains or on the beach to watch the sunrise. That balance between a demanding job and moments of peace is what defines her.
