The brand redefines technical minimalism with a new bib short that reduces design to the essentials: less weight, less friction, and more connection between the cyclist and their performance.
Gobik takes another step in textile innovation with the launch of the Culotte X. Under the claim “Get in the zone”, the brand presents a garment designed to eliminate any interference between the cyclist’s body and their performance, allowing cadence, concentration, power, and breathing to flow without distractions.
The Culotte X is born from a logic of absolute refinement and maximum demand, offering high-end features starting from the essentials. This model positions itself as one of the brand’s key pieces within technical minimalism, real lightness, and absolute comfort.
158 grams of precision
Weighing just 158 g (size M), the new Culotte X offers a true “second skin” experience. Its enveloping pattern has been optimized to almost completely reduce seams, eliminating unnecessary friction and pressure points.
One of the most notable innovations is the raw-cut finish on the leg hems. Unlike conventional bib shorts, it dispenses with interior silicone applications, achieving a firm and stable fit through the fabric’s own tension. The result is a non-aggressive hold that leaves no marks on the skin and guarantees total freedom of movement.
Material engineering: DUALKNIT PRO, OEKO-TEX®, Elastic Interface®, and Graphene
The garment’s technical base is the DUALKNIT PRO fabric, a double circular knit in polyamide that balances three fundamental pillars: elasticity, resistance, and superior breathability. With OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification and 50+ sun protection UPF, it is designed to perform in a thermal range of +15 to +35 ºC, making it a versatile tool for both road and gravel.
At the top, the ergonomic raw-cut, seamless straps incorporate graphene yarn. This cutting-edge material is key for thermal regulation and odor neutralization, limiting moisture buildup during moments of maximum effort. Additionally, the brand continues to focus on designs that improve efficiency and comfort, incorporating a rear magnetic closure in the women’s version and a heat-sealed opening in the men’s version.
For saddle contact, Gobik has relied on the technology of Elastic Interface®, integrating the K10 (for men) and K9 (for women) graphene chamois pads, guaranteeing absolute comfort on long-distance rides.
The ultimate technical wardrobe staple
The Culotte X arrives on the market with a vision of permanence. Although the initial launch presents two colors as a preview of the season, the color range will expand during the summer to offer multiple shades that allow cyclists to create versatile combinations.
"This bib short does not add superfluous elements, it eliminates them. It does not compete with performance, it accompanies it. It does not distract, it disappears," state the Gobik design team.
With this launch, Gobik offers a garment that aims to become the essential bib short within any technical kit: a solid base on which to build style and speed. Because when everything flows and you enter the zone, the only thing that matters is pedaling.
