Developed together with WorldTour teams and validated in the Silverstone wind tunnel, the new collection improves aerodynamic efficiency in real race conditions.
YECLA, SPAIN, July 2, 2026 — Gobik officially presents SUPERSONICA, its most advanced high-performance aerodynamic collection to date. Developed in close collaboration with WorldTour teams and elite riders such as time trial specialist Filippo Ganna, the new range has been designed to maximize efficiency in high-speed conditions.
The collection introduces new long-sleeve road and time trial skinsuits for both men and women, along with a complete ecosystem of aerodynamic accessories made up of the Boundary base layer, Drag overshoes, Kinetic gloves, and Pinkie socks.
Technical precision: more than 30 wind tunnel tests
To validate the collection's performance, Gobik subjected the garments to more than 30 test sessions in the Silverstone wind tunnel. Each evolution was analyzed using race bikes, different speed ranges, real pedaling positions, and a wide range of wind yaw angles.
Aware that a garment's behavior varies significantly in crosswind, the engineering team went beyond isolated data and analyzed the complete aerodynamic drag curves (CdA and drag). The objective was to develop a stable and consistent solution, capable of delivering maximum performance in the changing conditions that occur during competition.
The results obtained reflect top-level improvements:
- System advantage: the combination of the MACH TT suit with the Boundary base layer provides an aerodynamic saving of between 15 and 18 watts at high speed compared with Gobik's previous time trial suit.
- Greater efficiency on the road: the new STRATOS Road Suit improves aerodynamic efficiency by up to 10% versus the previous Madison model, noticeably reducing air resistance and maintaining stable behavior even in crosswind.
- Marginal Gains: the DRAG overshoes reduce the turbulence generated in the foot and ankle area, delivering an additional saving of between 5 and 8 watts.
The SUPERSONICA ecosystem: technical specifications
SUPERSONICA represents the ultimate expression of Gobik's aerodynamic development to date and marks a major step forward in innovation applied to competitive cycling. Conceived together with WorldTour teams to optimize performance in high-speed situations, the collection brings aerodynamic research to each of its garments, where every small detail is designed to turn marginal gains into real competitive advantages.
MACH Long-Sleeve TT Suit
Long-sleeve time trial skinsuit developed for extremely aerodynamic positions. It incorporates an ultralight circular fabric that offers high breathability without compromising the garment's structural stability. Each panel has been optimized to reduce frontal drag and improve behavior in crosswind.
- Fit: Ultra Fit
STRATOS Short-Sleeve Road Suit
Road suit designed for modern racing, where speed and comfort must coexist for long hours. Sleeves and shoulders incorporate a three-dimensional fabric that generates controlled micro-turbulence, helping the airflow remain attached to the body for longer and reducing the low-pressure wake.
- Fit: Ultra Fit
- Technology: heat-sealed finishes on legs, sleeves, and pockets.
- Temperature range: +17 °C to +35 °C
- Weight: 220 g (size S)
BOUNDARY Base Layer
Base layer designed as an active part of a double-layer aerodynamic system. Designed to be worn under road suits or smooth-surface jerseys, it incorporates panels with a three-dimensional structure that alter the behavior of airflow through the outer layer, reducing the aerodynamic drag of the whole.
- Fit: Perfect Fit
- Technology: sleeves with 3D structure.
- Temperature range: +12 °C to +30 °C
- Weight: 55 g (size S)
DRAG Overshoes
Overshoes developed to optimize one of the most critical areas from an aerodynamic point of view. The upper features a double-layer construction with 3D structured fabric on the inside and a smooth finish on the outside, stabilizing airflow around the leg. The lower section uses a PU-coated fabric that smooths the profile of shoe closures, dials, and vents.
- Technology: double layer with internal 3D structured fabric, reinforced toe box, and wear protection panels.
- Temperature range: +12 °C to +30 °C
- Weight: 64 g (size M)
KINETIC Gloves
Gloves developed to optimize the first point of contact with the wind. The back uses the same three-dimensional fabric found in the STRATOS suit to improve airflow behavior, while the palm uses an ultra-light, highly breathable fabric with silicone threads to deliver precise grip without compromising feel on the handlebar.
- Technology: 3D structured fabric and extended-length fingers.
- Temperature range: +12 °C to +30 °C
- Weight: 17 g (size M)
PINKIE
Ultra-light low-profile socks that offer maximum breathability and a virtually imperceptible feel. Made with antibacterial polyamide yarn, they feature an asymmetric anatomical design and a seamless toe box to eliminate chafing. They have been specifically designed to pair with DRAG overshoes, avoiding fabric overlaps and ensuring a completely clean aerodynamic transition.
- Fit: Perfect Fit
- Technology: asymmetric anatomical toe box, seamless construction, and optimized integration with DRAG overshoes.
- Temperature range: +25 °C to +40 °C
- Weight: 20 g/pair (size M)
The SUPERSONICA collection will be available from Thursday, July 2 at 08:00 through Gobik's international distributor network and its online sales channels.
ABOUT GOBIK
Gobik was born in 2010 when the cycling club in Yecla (Murcia) needed a kit to compete. Since then, the customization of cycling apparel has been an essential part of its DNA. Today it outfits some of the best teams in the world, including FDJ-SUEZ, UAE Team Emirates, Movistar Team and, since 2024, INEOS Grenadiers.
