• A total of 56 cyclists make up the sports structure, distributed among the Men's Team, the Women's Team, and the Development Team.
• Debut of the new GOBIK jersey, an outfit that fuses modernity, identity, and the latest technical innovation.
• The acclaimed documentary series El Día Menos Pensado returns, with a new edition that will once again show the behind-the-scenes of the team like never before.
Movistar Team unveiled this Thursday, in the Aula Magistral of the Palau de Les Arts at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, its sports project for the 2026 season. A presentation that was also broadcast live through the team's official YouTube channel to bring it closer to the fans and that gathered sponsors, media, prominent figures from the world of cycling, and institutional representatives.
Three teams, one purpose
The cycling structure with the most history in the international peloton will face its 47th season in the world elite in 2026. During the event, the rosters of the Men's Team, Women's Team, and Development Team were officially presented, reaffirming the project's commitment to training, equality, and high performance.
The men's WorldTour team adds this year Cian Uijtdebroeks (Belgium), Raúl García Pierna, Roger Adrià, Juanpe López (Spain), and Pavel Novák (Czech Republic). In the women's section, the main new addition is the arrival of Italian Francesca Barale.
The world time trial champion, Marlen Reusser, will debut the rainbow colors in time trial events, while Iván Romeo and Sara Martín will wear their Spanish champion jerseys.
In addition, the new training project Movistar Team Academy was officially presented, the platform with which the team strengthens its commitment to identifying and developing young talent in all categories of cycling.
A new jersey for a new era
The event also served to unveil the new jersey designed by GOBIK. For the new Movistar Team kit, GOBIK sought a futuristic aesthetic, an evolution that would project innovation and performance on a white base. Technological textures, iridescent graphics, and transparencies were combined to create a striking design that reflects the team's identity and avant-garde spirit.
A design on the Nexflow jersey, developed exclusively for the team. Its aerodynamic and ultra-minimalist structure, along with the special fabric on the sleeves that optimizes airflow and the seamless bonding finishes, offers speed and a perfect fit. A jersey designed for competitions where every second and aerodynamics are decisive.
'El Día Menos Pensado' returns in 2026
El Día Menos Pensado returns, an original TBS series that will be available starting January in Spain on Movistar Plus+.
Movistar Team confirmed the eagerly awaited return of El Día Menos Pensado, the documentary series that has allowed the public to see from the inside the challenges and emotions of professional cycling. The fifth edition will premiere in 2026 and will once again show the most human and competitive side of the team.
New strategic agreement with CUPRA
During the gala, the new collaboration agreement with Cupra was also announced, who joins as the team's official vehicle supplier. An alliance that reinforces Movistar Team's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and advanced mobility.
Support for grassroots cycling after the DANA
The event was attended by several cycling schools affected by the recent DANA. Movistar Team wanted to pay tribute to them and reiterated its support for grassroots sports and the recovery of the damaged facilities.
Institutional statements
Borja Ochoa, president of Telefónica, stated:
“Movistar Team is one of Telefónica's great symbols. It is not only our longest-running sponsorship, but also an alliance that represents who we are: collective work, innovation, and the ability to reach every home. Each cyclist carries the M of Movistar on their jersey, a history and values that define us, and we trust that they will defend them with professionalism, commitment, and team spirit.”
For his part, Eusebio Unzué, General Manager of Abarca Sports, stated:
“We face an exciting new season together with Telefónica, confirming their commitment to this project that we have shared for so many years.
